The New Year

Wow in a blink of an eye it is already March 2013! And I have just realised that I have not blogged at all this year!

I have had a busy start to the New Year with lots of new ventures that I have been involved with. A particular mention must be made about Summer’s Naked Plate.

Summer is one of my lovely and extremely talented friends that I have had the pleasure of helping design an identity and layout for her popular blog. She writes in a humorous way, educating and motivating you to a point where you simply have to make her delicious and wholesome recipes! I am sure this blog is going to take off!

Designing for the food industry is where I want to be so this is a great spring board! Summer’s identity includes my “rotring pen” illustrations of veges and fruit from way back when I was at university. Summer has always admired these illustrations and it is so wonderful to be able to give them a home!

I have recently worked on two fashion identity projects. Rebranding the iconic NZ woman’s fashion label Newport to give a modern and chic appeal. Check out Newport at any Cachet store.

The other fashion project is the exciting new designer brand Bazaar by Susie Walker. Bazaar is colourful and different, fun and fabulous, perfect for those dress up moments in your life!

It has been great working with Susie right from the start of her new brand. I was involved in the photography of her first collection and more recently have photograped her Spring/Summer 2013 collection. This is truly fantastic and I recommend you keep an eye out on the Cachet facebook page for when Bazaar is delivered into the retail shops.
